Organic Fair 2023

On 18 and 19 January 2023, the Organic Fair took place in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. 

Plantera was also present with a stand. 

This time, the fair was again dominated by the expanasion of organic products,  in a world in which the prices demanded cannot (yet) be paid by a large public. Something that needs to be paid extra attention to in the coming years to make organic food accessible and affordable for everyone. 

The goal is to get 15% of agriculture organic by 2030. An objective that has been formulated by the government and in which we also see that they have never given organic farming so much priority before. Something that we of course only can applaud to and what we as Plantera are ready for.   

Plantera is still in full development and 80% of our breeding material younger than 4th-year now has some form of late blight resistance. Plantera aims to combine this with virus resistance, production and natural taste. 

In addition to our VITABELLA, we were also able to present our new blight light resistant varities OSCAR (BIM 13-678-01) and VITANOIRE (BIM 120499-04) at the Organic Fair.

The fair is well attended and visitors of the Plantera stand could take about 5kg seedpotatoes from Vitabella.
